Come get a great haircut for $75 (normal price $45 – 65 men; $75 – 90 women). 100% of the proceeds go to towards Lucas’ medical expenses. Men, women and kids are all welcome!
It’s the simplest of expressions that has come to mean so much to us over the past nearly three months. But thank you is also simply the most appropriate phrase. Thank you is defined as a “conversational expression of gratitude” and gratitude is what we feel first and foremost for everything all of you, our amazing community of angels, have endlessly, selflessly, openly, lovingly, generously provided for our entire family during this completely incomprehensible time. And now you have all come together once more with this celebration of Lucas’ spirit to provide for us once again.
So, thank you… most sincerely and appreciatively and with our utmost gratitude.

We have received many wonderful items for our fundraiser on Thursday evening. We are so grateful to the community for their outpouring of support. All the raffle items have been donated by local businesses, artists and craftspeople. Here are some of the highlights.

One of the many great items donated for our fundraiser is this painting on paper by award-winning artist/illustrator Sean Qualls. It is from the book Giant Steps to Change the World by Spike Lee and Tonya Lewis-Lee and it comes with an autographed copy of the book. At the beginning of the summer, Lucas suffered a massive heart attack due to a previously undiagnosed congenital heart defect. He has been in the hospital ever since. Lucas is a fighter and continues to amaze us all with his strength and spirit. But make no mistake, the amazing care Lucas has and continues to receive is expensive.
